WHO ARE WE?
OUR BACKGROUND
Skillshare Lesotho is a registered local volunteering and development organization working in partnership with local and International organizations to reduce poverty, injustice and inequality to further economic and social development.
OUR VISION
A just, equitable, and empowered society.
OUR MISSION
To reduce injustice and inequality, support livelihoods, and promote access to health services among the most at-risk and vulnerable communities in Lesotho.
WHAT DO WE DO?
We work in partnership with the Government, Development Partners, and CSOs to reduce poverty, injustice, and inequality in our beneficiary communities. We have a range of practical ways in which we support our beneficiaries which include direct service delivery through the following core program areas:
Active Citizenship
We empower young people and communities to become changemakers. Through volunteerism, advocacy, and leadership opportunities, we help citizens take an active role in shaping a more just and inclusive Lesotho.
Healthcare
We work to improve access to essential health services, from HIV and TB care to sexual and reproductive health and voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC). Our community-driven health initiatives create awareness, demand, and support for healthier lives.
Research
Strong programs begin with strong evidence. We conduct research, baseline studies, and evaluations that inform our work, strengthen our impact, and give a voice to the communities we serve.
Education
Education is a pathway out of poverty. We provide opportunities for marginalized communities to access quality learning, while supporting schools and families to build environments where every child can thrive.
Sustainable livelihoods
We help individuals and communities build resilience and achieve self-reliance. From women’s savings groups to youth entrepreneurship, our programs create economic opportunities that secure livelihoods and improve well-being.
